I come from a long line of sign writers and am happiest with a brush and some paint! Add
paint to fabric and I get really excited!!

Weekend away
After a full work week, I packed and headed to the first ever SAQA Atlantic Retreat. The weekend was an action packed exchange of information and meeting of minds. Things have certainly been altered forever in my little universe.
It looks like it was very creative! I meant to sign up and then it just got away from me. Where was it? I feel so isolated here. Can't wait to hear more!
First, I'm happy you got away for some fun! You've been working too hard! Second, I hope you met a lot of very creative people to share your creativity with. Third, I'm jealous I wasn't there!
The retreat was great! It was held at the Debert Hospitality Centre in Debert, NS - a central spot for the majority of the members. I am so happy to have made contact with this amazing group of fibre artists! There was much discussion, incredible show and shares and the exchange of information and experiences was more than I can process as yet.
Oh, Lorette. It was great! There is an amazing group of incredibly talented fibre artists - who all happen to be women - living all around me! Consider it a sure group to join when you move here!
